Privacy policy
We built data.day for usefulness, not surveillance.
Right now, we do not run advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or “marketing analytics”. We’re not trying to build profiles. We’re just publishing practical writing and having fun doing it.
What we collect
- Nothing you type into the site, because there are no accounts, no sign-ups, and no forms that store personal data.
- No ad tracking identifiers, because we don’t use ad networks.
If we ever add a contact form or newsletter later, we’ll update this page before it goes live and keep it simple.
Basic technical logs
Like most websites, our hosting and infrastructure may generate basic logs (for example: request time, page requested, approximate location derived from IP, and user agent). This is standard operational data used for reliability and security.
We don’t use these logs to track people across sites, and we don’t try to identify individuals.
Analytics / page counter
We currently do not run analytics.
In the future, we might add a simple page counter because we’re curious whether anyone is reading. If we do, the goal will be minimal, privacy-respecting measurement (no ads, no cross-site tracking, no data resale). This policy will be updated with exactly what we use and why.
Cookies
We do not set tracking cookies.
If we ever introduce something that requires cookies (for example, a preference toggle), we’ll keep it functional-only and document it here.
Sharing and selling
We do not sell personal data.
We do not share personal data with third parties for advertising or profiling, because we don’t collect it for that purpose in the first place.
Your rights
If you contact us directly (for example by email), you can ask us to delete that correspondence. We’ll comply unless we must keep something for legitimate operational or legal reasons.
Changes
If we change how the site works, we’ll update this page and adjust the “lastUpdated” date.
Plain-language summary
No ads. No tracking. No profiling. Just writing.
Enjoy. Your privacy is served.
